I have 3 children and currently expecting number 4 (surprise).. our son has autism his 9 but uses a special need buggy while out.
We have a zafira at the min, however with a pram we are not going to fit his buggy in the boot.
We only get lrm, I’m trying to find a car with a decent boot any ideas please?

We have the Vauxhall combo, same as the Peugeot rifter and Citroen billingo. DS2 is nearly 6ft and sits in the back mainly to keep him away from the driver. We have removed the seventh seat as they easily come out. He does get HRM and will probably go for the Vauxhall vivaro next.

@Boulshired I really want the vivaro just worried about the price. If we do we will pay monthly. I have put a coc in as he only gets mrc and his up all night! Has been from when we applied but they gave it from 5-16 so I didn’t fight it. He has a ehcp and in a den school his still at the age of a 4 year old. I know we won’t be entitled to hrm but hoping to use the extra care to help afford monthly payments on the car. That also seems the cheaper or all the big cars. But it’s scary we don’t own our home yet we will be buying a £32000 car 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

DLA is much easier if you can get others to write supporting evidence. DS2 social worker helped with HRM mainly citing the need for him to be transported safely for him, me and other road users and his right to access the community. Whilst I get HRM I decided to get the Vauxhall combo with my trade in and got the 1 year old demo model with all the extras included instead of using motability. With cars it’s looking at what is needed not just now but in a few years time.

I had a look at the combo didn’t seem to give up much more room.
We don’t have a social worker, and school trips our son can cope with although it’s only ever to parks. Our issue is if we go out term time his so much better (can cope around a quite zoo or park). But weekends everywhere is busy he can’t cope, we normally go out 8.30am to parks and places. I have given up with
Shops, it’s to traumatic. However because school don’t see that side when out n
There is no point.
I don’t mind a older one although seen no older Ones but I’m not sure if the finance would be the same, we already have a loan
So can’t extend that. Hoping to get finance while buying a new car. The load will be paid in 3 years so will then buy it out right using the loan.
