If my ds has a height on 9th centile, and head circumference on 50th centile, is that a sign of clinical dysmorphology?
I am getting increasingly concerned, yet paed thinks it is nothing to be worried about.
I am sure he has a head too big for his height. It is not a family trait. I think it is a big difference.
Am I being paranoid?
His height is 86 cm, and his head circumference is 51cm. He is 2 and a half.

i don't know sorry but i didn't want you to feel ignored!

I don't honestly know. My two both have large heads (Ds2 is 4 and wears adult size hats). The only comment the Paed has made about it is that large heads seem to be fairly common with autism.

my ASD boy has a large head too, I think originally they were on the lookout for Fragile X syndrome but your ds would have to have a lot lot lot more symptoms than just a larger head for any real worries (after all, I know lots of people with big heads who just have big heads, like some people have big feet or hands)

Thanks for all the replies!
My ds has a dx of gdd and asd.
That maybe it then.
His head wasn't that big when he was a baby, but seemed to grow so much until it looked huge by the age of 2ish. It still looks big now.
Sometimes I think it has grown a bit more.
I am not as obsessed as I sound, honestly. Just one of many concerns and unanswered questions.
Thanks all!
