Toddler is out of bed every minute, climbs over everything (stairgates, playpen, cot). He doesn't want to be in bed.

He is non verbal, on the spectrum but awaiting official diagnosis. On waiting list for Portage... 4 months so far.

We are getting no sleep. He is getting barely 6 hours.

Shares a room with 7year old sibling, they are also suffering sleep deprivation.

Please does anyone have any advice? Anything?
We've tried.to contact various helplines but most are dead numbers.

Does he have paediatrician? Maybe melatonin would help. You must be exhausted xxx

Yes, melatonin! If it works for him, it could be a lifesaver. My DD is hyper in eves before bed, loads of up and down. Melatonin solves it all. For her though even the slow release doesn't prevent her waking later but it does get her off to start with.

Have you already got a tight bedtime routine including low lighting, white noise , blackout, routines for pyjamas teeth story? Our DD likes it when we go round and say goodnight to each room in the house, same order same wording each night.

Weighted blanket?
