My laminator has just swallowed a sheet up without it coming out the other side. I can see it wrapped round the reel, but I can't really get to it. Is there anything I can do or is it buggered now?

Buggered I think.
I've one languishing in the garage in the very same state.

Thanks - I fear you are right - I have been at it with a screwdriver to no avail.

I also think its buggered, I had the same happen to my trusty Rexel I'd had for years - took it apart, nothing to be done boo hoo.
I wanted to start a laminating thread, but now this one is here - when said Rexel went West I bought a real cheapo one from Robert Dyas or somewhere. I now need laminating pouches and the packing of the last set got thrown away. I have no idea what weight to get, what would be a safe guess? There is NO indication on the machine.....??? HELP!

Standard A4 from Tescos or Staples Davvers?

Davros · 26/11/2007 20:15

Maybe I am thinking it is more complicated than it is..... I thought the pouches came in different weights depending on what sort of machine you've got. If its too light it gets crinkled up and frazzled, if its too heavy it won't bond well. Can I just buy any old pouches then?

ours did this last xmas, dh took it apart, we peeled the sheet off and he screwed it back together. It has been fine since.

pouches - I thought they were fairly standard? I always get them from Netto when they have them in - very cheap.

moondog · 26/11/2007 21:54

OOh there may be hope then.
My dh very handy with a screwdriver.

I bought some "medium" weight ones today in Rymans. Not the cheapest probably, but I only bought 25 so I can try them out. They did also have "heavy" weight ones though....
