InnerTalk CD

I went to see a hypnotherapist/homeopath this week regarding my anxiety relating to ds2. She was wonderful! Not started on the hypnotherapy (thats next weeks treat!) but she did give me a free CD called InnerTalk - forgiving and letting go. All you hear is relaxing music, but there are subliminal affirmations along the lines of `Life is a miracle, all we have is now, I am loved, the Divine exists in everything....' and I am finding it really helpful. Apparently it works just by having it on it the background (even whilst you are watching TV - or in my case on Mumsnet!)

The forgiving and letting go CD is available free to anyone who needs it from the InnerTalk website. As you were all so supportive a couple of weeks ago when I was truly losing the plot see thread `Antidepressants - are they helpful?', I thought I should share my discovery as it might be of interest/benefit to others.

Also, I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who has tried InnerTalk or hypnotherapy.

thankyou for this...i cannot sit still long enough to listen to the usual relaxation tapes etc...so what you said about 'playing it in the background' sound ideal

glad you enjoyed the therapy session!

I've found Innertalk CD's to be wonderful. I've recommended them to several of my friends. They really do seem to "re-script" your subconscious.

They've been more than worth the £22.99 purchase price, because they've changed my whole life for the better.

Ooo thank you.

My mum is forever trying to get me to do guided meditation cds to help me with exactly those sort of issues, but every time the person starts to speak, I start to giggle and my Mum gets cross with me. Blush I can't help it, its a sort of nervous reaction, I'm just not used to sitting still, let alone doing something for myself - so I get all self-conscious.

Listening to one in the background sounds much more doable.

Hello

I have been trying hypnotherapy three years ago when the anxiety attacks were becoming unbearable. It gave me a new lease of life! I really mean that. Annd I hope it will work well for you too, especially if you have a good therapeut. I have also tried two sessions in the last three weeks in order to help me loose weight and guess what! It works! All the best to you and everyone else out thhere

Moosemama,

If you go here:

www.innertalk.com/Single_CD_Programs.htm

and click "Info" next to one of CD's and then "play music mp3 sample", you can hear samples for many of the Innertalk CD's.

Good old Paul McKenna's relaxation and anxiety reduction tape does exactly that. Its taken away all the underlying anxiety and stress. Probably all these relaxation therapies will work if given a chance.
