Ds will be referred for speech therapy

I'm quite pleased really, I didn't think they would refer him at this stage (he's 17 months), but I'm glad that they have.

Fingers crossed that he will be chatting away by the time the appointment comes around!

Its good you got a referral so early. My mindee was 2 1/2 before he got one and was virtually non-verbal at the time. Within 6 months he was talking in full sentances

Not really, the community paed said a couple of months, but was more guessing really.

That's good.
They are on the ball and into being proactive rather than reactive.
Even if nothing is wrong,you should learn lots of useful stuff.
