My DS attacked a teacher

My Son is 13 and has ASD he has attacked me many times ( punching, kicking) and of course as he is getter bigger it hurts more.

But today he attacked his teacher and hurt her- not enough to need hospital treatment but still awful, I feel terrible.

He is in a SEN school, but I think even for there his behaviour is too extreme sometimes, he is already having his needs reassessed by the ED Psych soon.

I have flagged up his violent behaviour at home to SW, CAMHS, School and Paediatrician over the last 2 years.

I have told SW about what had happened today, I am worried his violent behaviour will escalate now he is a teen, and really don’t know what to do.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Challenging behaviour is often a result of unmet needs. If DS is undergoing a reassessment of needs is he having other assessments as well as an EP assessment? Such as SALT and OT? Do you think the school is the right placement?

He has recently had a a OT assessment too, waiting for their report. I think his current setting struggle to cope with him sometimes, it’s like puberty has turbo charged his meltdowns.
