picture sequences for toilet training

Anyone know a good source of these? I need something I can pin up in the loo to take DS2 through the stages - pull trousers down, sit on loo, do wee, pull trousers up, flush etc. Is it best to use individual pics, or is there some sort of sequence strip available?

Am aiming to start on Thursday, so need them quickly! Wondering if PECs do anything.

Consider pairing the PECs with a token/star? When all stages completed and all stars collected - REWARD! You could have an extra column next to each PEC with a space for a star (or whatever he likes).

sphil-my advice is not to get too hung up on the whole PECSing it out thing (having done that myself). It just confused issues. IN the end the main thing was getting him to sit and then STAY on the toilet via whatever means.

Doh! Being brain dead I didn't notice it was you Sphil. Of course you have the R+ ready I agree with Yurt though, although PECs/sequence can be very helpful, it might be a good idea to start without and see how it goes???? Does he respond well to picture sequencing thingies? How is his receptive language? Maybe all you need is focus, verbal encouragement and those Whizzers?

He responds better to verbal routines tbh. We've taught him to wash his hands after eating simply by doing it over and over again with the same simple verbal sequence: light on, water, soap, wash hands, dry hands, light off. He now says 'wash hands' when he's finished eating and goes into the bathroom independently, though we still have to help him with the actual washing. So I'll probably do the same with going to the loo and use the pics as a back-up to the verbal prompts. I'm going to do schedule training - take data on when he goes tomorrow, then the next day take him 5 mins before each of those times, with extra fluids 15 mins before.

Yes, it's good to see how progress is made!
The main probs my ds has (he's 6 with ASD) is that he forgets to wipe and flush- although I've been told that's kind of usual for 6yr old boys - I usually check loo quick if any visitors so they don't get greeted in the toilet!
DS has trouble with the knowing where to wipe exactly- will just freak out- also hates drying himself after bath and gets really fustrated.

You're miles on from me then! We're still working on getting DS2 to connect the loo with weeing .

DS1 (somewhere between NT and AS) who's also 6, still forgets to flush (usually because he's rushing to do something else). Doesn't like wiping either - has a bit of a thing about germs.I seem to remember my sister, whose DS3 is 12 and NT, shouting 'flush the loo!' up the stairs up until about a year ago!

Well, I think we've established he definitely DOESN'T connect the loo with doing a wee. After a day in pants I caved in at tea time and put him in pull ups. What do you do when you've got carpet?
