Can anyone recommend an EP for Tribunal who will undertake a through assessment at school, talk to teachers, the SENCO, observe in class and observe in the social settings around the school.

An EP not specialist in ASD, who understands the DSM-V manual and can recognise Developmental Language Disorder, Language Disorder and Social (Pragmatic) Communication Disorder and recognise that this is not ASD so as to avoid mis-diagnosis. Many thanks.

I’m an EP and I know that people are finding it impossible to find practitioners for tribunals at the moment. In part because of the surge in tribunal appeals but also because EPs are choosing other types of work in independent practice. The two I can think of are Lindsay Peer who has a lot of tribunal experience and experience with DLD and Kathy Sault who I think is a language specialist. Both Home Counties based and might be worth a try.

Whereabouts are you?

I’m in East Anglia, I think the two above are Herts based.

But I didn’t mention I’m an EP to get work. I’m booked up for this calendar year and prefer to stick to early intervention, consultation and family work Smile

They're all pretty busy this time of year, but you could try Valerie Hero, Ann Baumber, and Stephanie Warman.
