Am mortified to admit this but....
Yesterday were at pub with soft play area.
DH went to get out our 4 year old and was horrified to notice that there was a little boy in their with special needs and an obvious lisp whom my DS was calling "chicken boy". I don't think DS would have the intelligence to notice the difference and come up with the name as there were lots of other children in there as well and it had obviously been going on for some time as he was asking about the chicken boy over dinner and I couldn't understand what he was talking about.
The boy's father was there and his sister was shouting at DS telling him not to be horrible to her brother (good on her).
DH was so embarrassed he grabbed DS and ran away and didn't tell me until we were half way home.
I was really upset as I would have made DS apologise and explained it to him but then had a huge debate with DH about how we should of explained it.
I'm so sorry if this is an ignorant posting but I do not want my boy to EVER do that again and I need to explain why it was wrong.
