ASD children meet up in London?

Hiya,

I have two children, both who have been diagnosed with autism. My DS is 5 years old and my DD has recently turned 4 years old.

My son is desperate for friends, He tries to talk to other children wherever we go but with little success, often being ignored. At school, his teachers say he plays with other children, but I'm not sure if there actual friendships.

It's a long shot but I was just wondering if there was anyone who lived in London or nearby who wanted to meet up? (We are in South London, but are happy to travel!).

Hello! I would be up for this - have a 4yo autistic DS. He doesn't often like to play "with" other kids but is getting better at enjoying playing alongside, and I'm keen for him to meet other autistic children!

My children have autism and are the same and have no friends they are desperate for them but haven’t managed to make any in school, but they are a bit older though so would probably be a bit too old (10 and 9) we are in south east London

Heya, thanks for getting back to me!

@user1464279374 - my daughter is similar in terms of playing alongside! I think it would be lovely to meet up with other families - whereabouts do you live?

@Happycat1212 - Aww they sound very similar to my son (same issue at school). We're more than happy to meet with older children Smile - its just whether or not you feel we may be too young for your children. South east isn't too far away Smile
