Small classes for High Functioning Autism

My daughter has moderate learning difficulties. She has some difficultly with sensory processing, hyper mobility and social skills. She is very chatty but struggles to make friendships. I am looking at two independent schools for her with a good SEN provision. One of these schools has a class of 6, the other 15. I can’t decide if a class of 6 would be great for her and create a family type group or she may feel even more isolated with few children to get on with. I really appreciate anyone’s experiences with very small classes. Many thanks

I would go for the bigger class. It will give more scope for other children who may want to engage with her. How old is she?

Is the class of 6 part of a year group?
My son only goes to school very part time but he likes the class of 6. He gets to play with children in the year below and above too.
15 would overwhelm him

She is 7.

I think it is just 6 for the year. It is a very small school. I will double check that though.

I think if she’s a chatty young lady then 6 is too small. That gives her 5 other children. Say one is away that’s 4. I think for her the bigger class ( which is still small compared to mainstream) would be better.
