DLA Renewal

DS’s DLA runs out next February. He currently gets care middle rate.

Can someone talk me through the renewal process please? I’m dreading it.

When will I get notification that I need to do it?
Is the form like the first one?
Was your renewal successful?

DS has Autism and learning difficulties. The money really benefits him in so many ways and I’m worried sick it will be stopped if they feel he doesn’t need it anymore.

Just came across your post not sure if you found the information, usually around 8 weeks before your little ones DLA is due to end they will write to you and include the forms again. I'm sure its 6 weeks that you get to complete and return.

Hello, Iv just completed my sons renewal. They automatically sent me out the renewal forms about 3 months before his current claim runs out & unfortunately yes it's the exact same form as your 1st claim that you would have completed. I'm currently waiting on them confirming that they have received his renewal as it's been 3 weeks since I posted it back and Iv not heard anything but 1st time round they txt me & lettered me after 2 weeks to confirm the claim form had been received. Don't worry too much about it, they will send you the renewal pack when it's due
