Ready to quit, beyond exhausted

I'm parenting two young autistic children on my own. One has confirmed adhd too, the other is likely to be diagnosed adhd when he hits 6 too.

I'm just so tired and failing and completely screwing it all up and I've had enough :(

I have no advice but I just wanted to say I feel your pain. I’m totally screwing up parenting too with 5 year old asd ds. I’m finding it all impossible and overwhelming.

Do you ever get a break? Does their dad have them or family help out?

@Ibuiltthiscityonrocknroll sorry to hear you are struggling too but solidarity.

Their dad walked out 4.5 years ago, biggest was too much for him. Didn't quite expect the then newborn to also have additional needs. I'm completely on my own.

My youngest got diagnosed with asd & learning disabilities last week as well as my eldest 3 years ago.
I have no advice only solidarity.
I live off antidepressants & diazepam & had to leave work because no childcare exists. I do have a DH but he struggles with them far more than I do so the brunt is left to me.

It’s hard.

It's so hard, I have a DH but at the moment I end every day exhausted and so angry. Talking to someone who gets it can help, is there a family support worker or similar at your kids school? I've found them quite helpful, also the health visitor if your youngest is pre school?

I feel you and in only have the one DS with asc, pda, and suspected adhd (he's 5.5 so too young to assess for adhd here). It sounds incredibly tiring and just a lot!! Are they at school usually? Have a bubble bath and read a book if they are or even just at night time one night! It's hard though as I'm guessing sleep is also an issue. My DS has recently got into timing everything so I time him doing races in the garden, would that work?? Then you could have a sit down with the stopwatch!
