Period pants for DD

DD (year 6, moderate LD) is having the puberty chat at school after Easter and as part of that the teacher is going to be showing her sanitary products. I want to get her some period pants as I think these will be easier for her to manage. Any recommendations? I've seen a few online but unsure which are best, although I'd prefer black as I think they'll be less intimidating. Thanks!

My DD finds modibodi the most absorbent. Cheeky wipes are ok, but don't hold as much. We had some from Sainsbury's but they hold very little. She much prefers them to pads, I put them on a cool quick wash and either line dry them, or put them in the airing cupboard.

Thanks @shieldingending. I'll check out that brand. Probably a silly question but I keep wondering whether washing them in the machine would create mess (and stain other clothing)?! Or does it not work like that..?

Actually, scrap that @shieldingending. Just checked the Modibodi website and it says to rinse before cold machine washing. Pretty obvious, in hindsight 🙈

Yes, we rinse them first then tend to put a few pairs on the 15 minute quick cycle in my washer which is for very small loads
