My dd 8 has just the most epic meltdown all because her friend from school wants to talk to another girl over FaceTime instead of her. She screamed, threw things, lashed out at me and was in a terrible state. How do you cope with meltdowns ? I hate seeing her like this.

At that age my DD simply could not calm herself down. The only way was to cuddle her or let her have some time with her Guinea Pig which she found calmed her down.

I know it's so difficult isn't it? It took a long time before I could convince DD that a cuddle helps her x
