Complaining to LGO

I'm at an earlier stage of the complaints process re social care but fully expecting to need to proceed to LGO so want to make sure I do everything properly.

Has anyone been down this route and can advise on any tips or things to be aware of at this point?

My complaint is centering around the fact I am a very very single parent of two children with EHCPs. Oldest particularly has complex needs. We are on CIN plans but under safeguarding rather than CHAD. We aren't eligible for support/respite under the safeguarding branch. Its apparantly fine that two children are unable to leave the house as I physically can't keep them safe. I'm asking for during the holidays a day a week of support so that DC and I can access normal life and to support me.

We have, but not about social care provision.

Am I correct in remembering from another thread you were potentially needing to appeal an EHCP? If so, you can appeal the social care provision too.

Separately to your complaint about DC's assessments have you had a carer's assessment?

Just so you are aware social care can access some respite provision for those on CIN plans, probably not without a fight though.
