ADHD medication and atomoxetine

Dd was recently diagnosed with ADHD. She was prescribed elvanse but we’ve had to stop because it was making her anxiety worse. Her doctor has now mentioned atomoxetine. It sounds good but I’m worried about one listed side effect which is suicidal thoughts. Because elvanse negatively affected her mental health I’m actually quite scared about her trying this especially as she struggles with low mood and anxiety anyway. Really don’t know what to do for the best.

Ds is on attomexetine, one of the dose increases was actually at the request of CAMHs to try to control his anxiety. In our case he ended up needing setraline too but the attomoxetine certainly had a positive effect
