We are moving house and will need to find a new school for my 2 DS. DS1 aged 8 was diagnosed with ADHD 3 months ago and so we're still in the early days of trying to find out a bit more about strategies, support etc. He's also been put in for ASD investigations but we're in for a long wait on that.
We'll be moving mid-year and will need to find out if the schools have places, but my main question is will he be a higher priority if there's a waiting list as he has SEN? He doesn't have an ECHP, so I'm not sure if other diagnosed SEN would make him a priority? I also had a fear (hopefully irrational) that when schools hear he has ADHD, might they not want him there and say they have no room?
There's also DS2 to consider - I really hope they don't end up at 2 different schools....argh, so much to consider!
If anyone has any advice/info, I'd really appreciate it.
