Private ADHD Assessment Bexley Area

Hi All

New to mumsnet, not entirely clear how it works. I am just looking for any advice regarding the following:

I am convinced my 10 year old son has ADHD. For years I’ve tried to get the school to assess and finally they did and referred him to Cambs but there is a two year wait so he won’t be seen until November 2021.

I have decided to get him assessed privately but feel overwhelmed about who/where to get this done as in a centre, hospital, psychiatrist, psychologist. I want a comprehensive assessment that also assesses for ODD, bipolar disorder, sensory disorders and not biased towards finding ADHD.

I’ve emailed a few adhd organisations but they have not been able to help.

I’m in the Bexley area.

Any advice on this would be gratefully received.

My son starts secondary school next year and therefore I will be looking at secondary schools next month and really want to get the assessment done before then

Just seen this and whilst some time ago wondered how you got on? I am in Bexley awaiting ASD assessment and not sure who to use that would be recognised by Bexley - DD starts secondary in September 2024 so in a similar situation.
