I'm looking for tips and advice on toilet training and preschoolers....what worked for you, what really didn't and how you managed to stay calm and non pushy through it all!
Just started with my DD aged 4 who has ASD diagnosis but is also very demand avoidant. Always kicks off at visuals or knowing what's about to happen.
Toilet is upstairs so even getting up stairs before we're anywhere near the loo is bad enough!
Had great advice and input from her CAMHS therapist and I have the theory of how I'm going to tackle it but not even being able to mention going upstairs let alone going near the toilet is getting me slightly concerned about how the heck this will all pan (ha!) out...
