Is there a deadline for the final EHCP after the draft?

On my letter it says "If a plan is needed we aim to issue this by 9/6/20"

I took that as the final plan had to be done by then but my husband thinks it means they'll try to have it done by then with nothing set in stone. I'm confused now as I've seen people say they have to legally provide the plan in 20 weeks.

We got the draft on 6th May, sent it back with preferred choice of school and now waiting to hear back. Can anyone shed some light please?

You have 14 days to comment on the draft and ask for amendments or they finalise... however right now it’s anyone’s guess (just had my DS’ sand it’s been 3 months!!)

Ps: just to add ours was a change of place plus major alterations, as I say draft was issued and approved in March and finalised 2nd June (for September) but who knows if any of it will happen!!
