Only child

Hi does anyone else have an only child with SEN (ASD) and really worry what their future will be like long term without siblings etc for companionship when parents grow older ?

Yes, I have these worries. Not sure what else to say ☹️

I try not to worry too much and have hope everything will be ok 🙏

Yes although not severe. I thank my lucky stars tbh that i don't have other kids and can just about cope. I can concentrate on one kid. I dread to think what it would have been like with more children, perhaps the next child would have had more severe needs. I know some people that are in that position and cope really well, but i know i personally would not.
