Just after recommendation for a book to read that might give good strategies to deal with my son's behaviour. He is 8 and has learning difficulties and gets very easily frustrated. He is often quite angry , gets upset at making a mistake or when something isn't right. Also get a lot of attention seeking behaviour, when he has always had attention. And he can be too rough with his little brother. I have read the explosive child but found it not that easy to do. I have heard the magic 123 book might be good, ..... wonder if anyone recommends that.

I recommend Calmer, easier, happier parenting. There is a Calmer, Easier, Happier Boys version too.

Thanks both of you- I have bought calmer, happier easier parenting for boys as have 3 of them do reading that.

Muffler read the explosive child but found it hard to identify all the unresolved problems and have the conversation in depth with him as he has language processing disorders.

Have just had a glance at the low arousal website though it looks good. Will look in more detail tomorrow.

@Violet44 The website and resources really are good. Sorry I didn't realise your son has a language processing disorder.
The studio3 resources are all about lowering stress and non verbal communication so I hope you find it more helpful. 😁
