I’ve resigned from my job as a TA in a specialist school at the end of Feb to work 25 hours direct payments for a young adult (22) due to start today.
I now cannot start the new job due to covid 19. Im not allowed in her house.
I’m still in my notice period at the school as I’m paid until the end of Easter Holidays.
I can’t get furloughed as it was after 28/02 my new employer ( her mum )hasn’t put me on the payroll yet. Even though it was decided at the beginning of February the social worker told her to wait but no one told me this!
I’m struggling now with no income and no work.
I’ve no idea what to do I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place, panicking.
Any advice from anyone else in this situation or from anyone who works in direct payments.
