I am just so so worried. she started baring weight when she was 13 months old. She now stands with support however she can't pull her self up or crawl. She just rolls. Sits well and eats well. She doesn't copy me at all or, point or wave.. But very calm and happy child.. She blabbers the whole day and doesn't understand basic commands only looks at me and gives me signs if she needs it or not. I am being referred to community pediatrics and physio and occupational therapy. Anyone in same situation can tell me what the future holds for my daughter.. The gp said she has low tone. Muscle.. That's it.

Sorry but no-one can do that, not even paeds at this age, or a fortune teller with a crystal ball. You have to be patient and wait and see. Developmental checks like MCHAT-R don't even start until age 2+ and never ever underestimate a child's ability to progress, maybe not at the same rate as their age-peers, but progress nevertheless.

Enjoy your calm and happy little girl now instead of looking for problems and worrying about all the what-if's. Don't miss out on her everyday successes because you're trying to compare her to a different child and finding yours doesn't 'do' as much, she's your daughter and she's doing things at her own pace.
You have a referral in place, the team will let you know if she needs any help. Flowers

Hi, I know how you feel, my little girl has just turned 2 and even though she walks and has been able too from quite an early age she doesn’t communicate, talk or ask or point to anything. She is a beautiful calm child too and is very loved, I also have 3 older children so I did think maybe she is just holding back as we have quite a noisy household! I have seen the health visitor who is referring her for speech and language therapy, but I just have this gut feeling it’s going to be something a bit more..I don’t feel she understands much and while I really don’t mind what happens or what is diagnosed as I will always be there whatever she needs and she will be SO loved! It’s still a very uncertain feeling, and not knowing is sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse, I want the best possible help for her but I also want to keep her in this beautiful little bubble and not know..if that makes any sense! Guess what I’m trying to say is you’re not alone and there isn’t any right or wrong way to feel..it’s a slow process I think so patience is key..or so I’m told Confused if you want to pm me then feel free! Sorry I don’t have any solid advice for you! XxxX

@Meher2018 hello... how is your little girl now, what is the update? I would love to know as I am also in the same position you were 8/9months ago. My dd is 15+months and she isn’t crawling walking or talking, I feel there is no understanding either. Just like your dd she is happy and calm baby. There’s some eye contact but she doesn’t always respond to her name.
Your dd must be over 2years now and you’ll have a clear idea now then u did back when you posted this.
