since we started speech therapy dd's use of makaton signs has increased - I am sure I mentioned the toilet one!!! Well now she is an expert on NO!! We have the had shake, the hand gesture and almost the word - especially when she has done something she knows we will say no too!! Now I am paranoid as to how often I tell her NO!! But it is hard to go mad at her when she tells herself no and then gives you such a cheeky grin.

Reminder to self - no rude gestures when in a road rage!!!

Bless her! How sweet and I am really pleased that the makaton is helping dd

LOL at the rude gestures. Well done to little dd.

That's fantastic, sounds like great progress.

On the paranoia note... scary how they copy, DS has taken to shouting 'watch out!' from the back of the car at regular intervals. I didn't realise I'd been giving DH such a hard time about his driving!

Aah yes! I often catch dd, with her hands on her hip and wagging her finger at ds!! Do I really do that!!
She too has fairly recently started saying yes & no along with the sign-her signing has always been very good but I have noticed a vast improvement by her watching "Something Special" the Makaton series that I taped from CBeebies. She even seems to know more than me now!!
Would love to find out more how your dd is doing eidsvold but its that time of day and I must dash to pick dd up from SN nursery.

LOL - Lottie does that too, tells herslef off before I can! She'll fling her cup across the table or something and then say 'nooo' while wagging her finger, grinning from ear to ear at the same time. What are you gonna do???!!!!
