dd has cp I have worked bloody hard to get her dry.
She has been getting Huggies dry nights from the incontinence service(as she has accidents as reliant on carers)
shit company has decided that the company who supply us is too small and won't supply them any more. so I now have been given crap leaky pull ups. that are like something your granny would wear............shit and double shit.
as you can imagine I am ringing round and complaining

Its a nightmare isn't it, I had to order more nappies last week or so and as ds1 can only use one arm I enquired whether we could get pull-ups or similar.
They don't even provide pull-ups! so what do we do about teaching ds1 independence when he can't get a nappy off himself!. Of course we could buy them but that ain't the point is it!

that is awful 2shoes- your dd deserves something that works for her. I know you'll put up a fight but you shouldn't have too, these things should and could be so easy to sort out if the people making the decision actually had some idea what children need.

Did you have any luck getting some more Huggies? Poor dd.

much sympathy - bit of an aside, but are you aware that there is a big push to be able to use direct payments for health funded things. So presumably if this takes off you'd be able to take the funding for continence aids and add to it to enable you to purchase which ever specific brand/ type etc you prefer. I believe some aouthorities may be piloting schemes, so it may be worth enquiring?

well I kicked up a stink and the lady has been so sweet. a lot of parents are really happy with the new product and have been returning the huggies. so she has so far dropped of about 10 boxes ( 3 packs in each box) ok they are boys with racing cars on them but dd doesn't mind. they are right size and I put one on her in her "accident" time(the one time of a day she has accidents as she is in her bedroom and we are not)
and no leakage.
I did ask about DP and it is something they are talking about. but it is very expensive to administrate,
Thanks to pixel who emailed me offering me some. what a sweetie
