Labelling vs communicating

How to differentiate labelling and communication.

Im no expert but way i understand its: labelling its knowing the names of things (words) communication is either sentences but also a purposeful way makes a difference here. So if a child see juice and he wants it and says "juice" its communication. If the child knows the word for curtains and when you ask he/she can says "curtains" then labelling
