Go through Section B and note down each area of need. Ensure there is a corresponding outcome in Section E.

The outcome should be SMART so bad outcome would read as X will attend school on a regular basis. Good outcome will read X will attend school on at least 4 out of 5 days for the duration of 2 academic terms. X will remain in school for the full school day.

Section F is the provision so go through the assessment reports and make sure that all suggested provision from the assessment reports have been carried over correctly. It needs to say who is responsible for delivering, when, how many times, how long the sessions will be etc. Bad provision will read as Access to a mentor, good provision will read as X will meet with a mentor, at least 3 times a week for a minimum of 15 minutes, longer of needed to discuss worries, concerns or to reflect on situations that may have occurred. These meetings will be scheduled into X's timetable so it becomes part of X's routine. Once X is settled in school and attending at least 3 out of 5 days, then the frequency or duration of these meetings can reduce providing X is consulted and feels happy with this. Provision of these meeting to increase will be available at X's request.

So will be thinking that it needs to be specific like your examples, so thank you. Such a horrendous process!

Definitely make sure it is detailed, specific and quantified. Nothing should be left for individual interpretation or the placement to decide.

Anything that 'trains or educates' should be in Section F, so that includes things like SALT, OT etc. Some LAs will try to put it into G.

SOS SEN check drafts, they may be able to help you.

Reporting back... well section F couldn’t be more vague if she tried. Nothing is specific.

Am I right we have 14 days to respond? Is that to include the amendments too? As we on day 10 now and I’m really stressing

Some reports are also missing

Has anyone used a solicitor or sen sos to actually draft their EHCP?

My dd needs constant supervision & assistance all day. Full 1:1 for her safety & due her physical disabilities. How on earth do I get that into the plan?

The draft gives no indication as to what level of funding it would provide either?

Do you have a report stating that? You need evidence to have things put in the plan. Ask for a meeting to discuss which can then take you past the 14 days.

Do you have this written in any of your assessment reports?
