DS1 ADHD - DS2 First Party Invite What to say?

DS1(7) has always dreamed of going to a party but the closest he's come is being invited and uninvited twice, DS2(4) has a class party tomorrow and I'm suddenly terrified and tearing up.

Due to circumstance I'm on my own and can't leave DS1 anywhere when I drop DS2 off, he is going to hurt. What the hell do I say?

It is in the town centre so I will be taking DS1 into town and getting lunch with him, but I know he is going to feel pretty rubbish and when we collect DS1 any soothing I've managed will be undone because he'll see the party again.

Does have anyone have any experience of this?

Could one of the other mums take ds2?

Even if you meet them at a place in town and wait for them at same place after?

I totally understand why you want to protect ds1 feelings. That's so sad he was uninvited and completely cruel behaviour towards a child.

Thank you for replying I posted on the class FB page and it turns out another single mum has a sibling of DS1s age so I'm dropping DS2 off and we're heading to the park and to MaccyDs.
