EHCP as evidence for DLA

Evening everyone
I'm doing the renewal for my son's DLA. Since we originally applied he has received a diagnosis and has an EHC plan in place. I was going to include the Ed Psychs report for the EHC plan as part of the evidence, but wondered if anyone had submitted the actual EHC plan as evidence, or if I actually am supposed to submit it?

Also, a lot of his therapy reports have 'not to be photocopied without permission' printed on them. Does this apply to DLA applications? I've tried calling the team the therapists are in but it's a nightmare trying to get through and I really want to send the forms off tomorrow. I assume as it's my child it's ok to copy them and send?

I would definitely include it and the other reports.
As long as the therapy reports are personal to your son and not generic information about his condition then they are relevant and yours to copy.

I send the whole ehcp with ours. I belong to a dla group on Facebook (if you look up dla and disability living allowance on Facebook the support groups will come up, some have 40k members) and it seems that those who have included an ehcp have a lot more success at claiming than those who don’t as whole. Good luck.

Thanks both. I assume I don't need permission from the LEA/council to send it in?

I wouldn’t bother, id just send it.

Thanks. It'll probably take me 6 months to get hold of anyone!

I think I'm stressing way too much, especially seeing as I've done this before!

No you definitely don't need permission from the LEA to send it in.

Good, thank you!

All sent off. So glad I got it out the way before Christmas.
