DLA until what age?

Hello

My dd1 gets dla. She turns 16 in May 2020. I've just checked her dla award and its valid until May 2021 which would be just before her 17th birthday. I was under the impression that it stops on their 16th birthday and you have to claim Pip instead?

Also will I receive a letter soon about this?

It depends on when your area moves over to PIP! Wait for the letter.

DD had an indefinite award for DLA and she is still getting it in her mid twenties!
