DS 6 non verbal and sensory processing issues loves to take his shoes off. He can do this anywhere and everywhere. Sometimes he thinks it's great fun and we really can't take our eyes off him. Does anyone know of shoes which he wouldn't be able to remove. He doesn't need special shoes for his feet are fine it's just I want them for safety when we're out and about

Hi OP ..I'm watching with interest as my 8year old son (ASD) does this too constantly ..its costing me a fortune in wear and tear in socks..
He hates being barefoot and must have them covered at all times but loves to be shoeless

Ds (also 6) refuses to wear shoes. We've tried every type. Wherever we go he just takes them off so we've resorted to buying very cheap shoes online. He currently has a pair of very lightweight beach walking shoes, which he might keep on for about 5 mins!
