Dla payments

Awarded dla on tuesday via phone call with them stating a decision had bben made and i had been awarded middle rate. Took about 8 weeks in total. Was also told that a payment had been released too. How long does it normally take to get your very first payment from them. Am i likely to get the payment before i get the letter

Few years since ds dla started but we got the letter then 2 days later the payment, backdated to when we made a claim.

You then receive a payment every 4 weeks.
