Posting here also for traffic ...

Dd attends college. LA have agreed to fund transport .... but as a shared taxi ... it means for 1 of her college days she will have to be picked up at 8 and picked up at end of college day at 3.45. However, her timetable for that day is 10.45 - 2.45.

Does LA have to fund private individual transport or do I have to agree to these times for dd?

I’ve explained to LA that due to dd’s disabilities, this isn’t right for her but they’re refusing to offer anything else. I don’t know where I stand and what they legally have to give dd.

Any advice?

You could ask the college to apply for a vulnerable students bursary for her. We did this for ds and were able to use the money to pay the LA for transport. You could perhaps use the money to fund a taxi privately for that one day a week??
I think to qualify you need to be in receipt of PIP and ESA.
