Hi Girls

Cameron had his weight checked today by the HV and he hasn't done as well this time 2 weeks ago he was 8Ibs 4ozs today he was 8Ibs 9ozs and he is 6 weeks old now! The HV didn't seem too concerned but i am maybe because of the borderline thyroid result he had last time but his HC is ok steady along the right line. He is on the 50th centile for his weight on the Downs syndrome chart but he was above this line last time. I probably am being over worried but have any of you experianced this with your little ones?

Love Debbie and Cameron 6 weeks today xxxx

Deb - my dd put weight on in varying stages - some weeks more than others. I would not be too concerned with the percentile charts - my dd is all over the place with them. I was always pleased she put on weight full stop.

Well done with portage - hopefully it will all go well.

Debbie,dd hovered between the 50th &75th centile on the DS chart for all of her first year. It amazes me when I think back to the nightmare I had feeding her. Things did improve when we went onto weaning but this didn't reflect in her chart.
Now, well she is almost 3(OMG) she is between the 75th & 91st for her weight and off the top of the chart for her height!
I really wouldn't worry too much.
Glad the portage is sorted, is this visit an assessment or is it your first actual appointment. DD had an initial assessment at about 4months, she then had to go onto a waiting list and our true visits started when she was about 8 months. We have learnt so much from Portage, well worth it.
What about physio, is that all going through for you?

The visit from portage is an assement visit sut since Cameron is only 6 weeks old and will be only 8 weeks or so at the appointment if we have to wait a few months for the portage after doesn't worry me just glad to have made the first step!

Cameron is on the list for Physio which should take between 4 and 16 weeks before we get our first appointment. We have an appointment with the consultant on the 12th to go over all the different test results, just hope the thyroid test was ok? I suppose if there was anything major to worry about they would of contacted me wouldn't they?

How are you all? Cameron is smiling now at his brother mainly and also he has developed an even stronger neck than before.

Love Debbie and Cameron 6+1 weeks xxxx
