Does anyone have any experience of Bexley's secondaries with ASD?
DS is year 4, just started in a DSP within mainstream, and with an EHCP being finalised at a snail's pace. He's HF ASD, very clever, but also probably ADHD (waiting for an assessment) and I don't know if he'll be ready for mainstream by the time he hits year 7.
We are currently in Greenwich, but border Bexley and are just as close to the Bexley secondaries as Greenwich's. So I'm looking at both, and possibly Bromley/Lewisham. We'll have to do tutoring for the 11+ if we go that route, but I think he'd be fine if the unfamiliar test environment isn't too unnerving.
He's inclined towards engineering/science, so we want to find a school that can support those goals and his ASD. Does anyone have any experience or advice with these schools?
Thanks!
