dla appointee letter

i have had a appointee letter from dwp the dla department saying ive been appointed to care an d manage for my son i was woundering does this mean hes going to get dla as it was a new claim thank you in advice for advice

I had it when we got DLA but also when it got turned down. Means therefore nothing in my experience. you only know you get DLA when the letters says so or when the £££ shows up in your account.
