Rough day

Having a tough day just need to know I’m not the only one. Really down just can’t achieve anything ds is twelve has ASD and ADHD totally lost it with him earlier after asking him ten times to get his shoes on. I’m not Sure I can do this anymore

I'm really sorry to hear your having a hard day. It's so much harder in the summer holidays isn't it :(

Didn’t want to leave you hanging, I’m having a horrible day with DS, it’s his birthday today and it isn’t going well. I posted earlier but no one replied. Basically one of his presents had a bit missing and he had got himself overexcited and had a meltdown, and then once he had calmed down hated himself for the reaction. It’s hard to see him hate himself on his birthday.

You can do this. Today is just a bad day. Do you have medication for the ADHD, we find it helps.

Some days are rough OP but they pass and we get through them. Sometimes we learn things that we need to do differently, sometimes we’re just glad to make it through the day!

What is it you were trying to do? Do you have a partner and/or other dc?

Thank you all forgotten and forgiven no partner one other Dd who collected GCSE results yesterday. She’s been on an NCS scheme for 4 weeks, so no buffer between me and him I guess. It’s also been a VERY long summer holidays nearly there now.
