Hi, we live in Somerset, are going to tribunal to get my 19 year old daughter with Down's Syndrome into a residential FE college and have been advised to get independent Ed Psych report, an Independent Social Worker's report and a speech & lang report to use as evidence. Can anyone recommend any of these that they've used and have been successful at tribunal? Desperate! Thanks.

Hi, this may be a little of the mark but there is a charity called BIBIC (based in Langport Somerset) who provide holistic assessments of children with special needs and write reports about all the needs of the child. Because it is a charity they charge reduced rates for the services they provide. I just had a look on the website and it says they do support with EHCPs, I didn't see tribunals mentioned though.

It may be worth ringing them as they are also Somerset based and may know which direction to point you in.

You could try an educational psychologist called Ann Baumber who has good experience with Down's Syndrome. However, she's extremely busy and difficult to get hold of.
