Hi all - I'm sure this has been asked a million times but I need help with my 3 year old.
I'm exhausted from him. He was a brilliant sleeper in his own bed until he got sick at Christmas time. He will settle in his own bed after a while but comes in to us in the middle of the night.
He doesnt sleep 12 hours maybe 10 and when's he up he wakes the entire house.

He is constantly running, talking - basically on the go.
His speech is good and his learning is good.
He often runs away from me when we are out
Wont sit and eat a dinner - always snacking ( although I think this is more my fault than anything)
He is potty trained , no issues there
Has a sister 16 months younger - usual squabbling nothing major.

Myself and my husband cant have a conversation as he always interrupts.

Is this normal behaviour or is it something more along the lines of adhd

Thanks for listneing

Sounds like my 4 year old although she only sleeps 5-6 hours in 24, she’s autistic. If you have concerns, speak to your hv or gp, they can referral to paeds

My DS has ADHD and was not like this at 3 (he's now 7) though he is also unusual in that he has always slept well.
However, they rarely diagnose ADHD before 6 because a very large number of toddlers and preschoolers are very very active but the activity levels of most children lower around the age of 5 or 6. So in the Reception classroom and playground DS didn't look unusual but by the end of Y1 he did.
