Hi. My daughter is almost three. We have been ‘diagnosed’ with GDD. Whatever that means.

We’ve had genetic tests that have come back clear. Our DD didn’t walk or talk until 2 1/2 years.

She is now walking and learning to run, attempting to jump. Her fine motor skills are progressing. Communication is an issue and we currently have less than 50 words.

I don’t know about DIA but she has just been referred to section 23 which allows the pre school to apply for funding to provide her additional support.

Sick of this waiting game that is ‘we just don’t know’

Sorry not much help but I’m feeling very bewildered also.

We find pre school has really helped her development and her SENCO has recommended state school next year. I just wish someone would explain what it all means as I really don’t know.
