hello Everyone,
I am a blind "mum" to disabled children in Vietnam. I have lived in several countries and faced many interesting (at times very frustrating) obstacles in each of them. I started an organisation last year to start programs for disabled children. I have also been trying to raise public awareness for the disabled.
I would also like to share something. My family used to panic, and worry, and not know what to say or do. I was told I couldn't do many things, etc. it was extremely difficult for my mother to let go and to understand me.
I am 23 years old, have lived alone in Thailand, have started an NGO, competed in gymnastics, can cook, and much more. i worked as an English teacher for a while and was actually told by the instructors during the training "It's not like you'll ever find a job. Get a refund and go home." Shocking! I want to be a role model to both disabled children and adults, and society at large.
I have wanted to post here for quite a while, but I didn't know what kind of reaction i'd receive.
