Ds1 is 13 and has ASC and SPD, currently also anxious and depressed which isn't helping things.

For years he has only worn H&M trousers because they feel right, but now he only has one pair left that he can just about fit but are getting too short. They are in the biggest size H&M do for kids 14+

We tried a pair of adult ones from H&M but he hates them. He wants them to feel soft but not too soft, cargo/chino feel with no zip or button but with at least 3 pockets.

Anyone have any suggestions? Struggling to keep his current pair washed and dried each night and also very aware that they won't last much longer. Last time his trousers felt wrong he spent days and days refusing all clothes.

Look on the label to see what the fabric is made up from, make a note and keep it with you at all times.

As it's the Easter Holidays can you take him to as many clothing stores as he can tolerate, even if it's only one or two per day, so he can try all the 'right fabric' trousers on in all the stores to see how they compare?

Blanktimes- fab suggestion about seeing what his current ones are made of, hadn't even thought to check what ratio of things they are, thanks.

Currently he can't leave the house unless he is going to a safe space like his grandparents so I'm not sure he would tolerate shopping, I've tried showing him as online but he just shout 'they're not H&M' I'm tempted to cut some H&M labels out of his old clothes and sew them into anything I buy but I just feel that's delaying the issue not solving it and it's not guaranteed to work.

Boden?

Just checked out Boden, didn't realise they went up to age 16 in the kids style, will definitely be trying some of the trousers, thanks

My son will only wear Boden. He is 8 and will only go for 100% cotton and an elasticated waist. I do not imagine he will ever wear jeans- far too uncomfortable! I even have to but 100% cotton school trousers.

No probs. My boys were extremely fussy about trousers when younger and lived in the Boden baggies. I also found Bamboo jeans, socks and boxers worked!!
