DS needs a laptop for school, but...

...it has to have no games, no camera, nothing distracting etc. He's supposed to be using it because he has has huge problems with writing, but he gets distracted and starts fiddling with other things. He's 12, and has HFA, ADD and fine motor skills issues. Totally obsessed with computers.

Does anyone know of a 'laptop' (or something else) which can just be used for writing, preferably with an autosave feature and which can connect to wifi for printing ? Everything I've seen so far has cameras, games and other distracting things.

I think someone with a bit of tech knowledge can lock stuff down quite easily. Alternatively go to a computer shop and they will build one with your requirements. I had a second hand one reconditioned and they “built” up everything I wanted. A proper computer shop, not PC world!

It should be possible to get him a normal laptop and set him up as a restricted user so that he can't access things like the camera etc, and isn't able to install any games without an administrator password.
