ECHP Query

I had an email from my county council today inviting me to do a POET survey. It said I’d been sent that as my (named) son has SEN. He hasn’t although he has been on report for lacking concentration, chatting etc. Could the school have done a ECHP without either parent knowing or do you think I’ve received survey in error?

There is zero chance he has an EHCP without you knowing.

However, has he been receiving any support at school because of his behaviour? It's possible he's been flagged as having SEN because of this (no specific diagnosis is required for him to be flagged as this at school).

Thank you that’s helpful. He did see a woman 1 hour a week in year 6 about his feelings etc (he’s now year 8) so maybe it’s something that’s carried over from that. Thank you I’ll check with school tomorrow and ask them to send info they hold to me.
