I'm in the process of getting my ex off my mortgage. He is in agreement as he has paid nothing for 3 years. There isn't much equity in the house. He had to sign something for a bankruptcy check. He tells me that he has a fine that has turned in to a CCJ. He can't pay it and has loads of Debts so is going to declare himself bankrup, but hasn't yet.
I'm really worried about how this will affect me. None of his debts are anything to do with me. He had no debts when we were together. Has anyone any experience of this? Is the CCJ likely to impact the transfer of mortgage?
