Feeling so down at the minute

Evening all,

My DD has High Functioning Autism and I feel so down at the minute. I can’t seem to snap out of it.

The fact DD likes to walk around in her knickers and vest rather than wear her actual clothes, doesn’t want to go out much anymore, can say very nasty things to us, struggles at school - just gets to me. I know it could be so much worse, but I am so tired and always worried.

Don’t get me wrong, we have lovely times and she has a fab, fun, silly character, I just can’t snap out of feeling low and tired and always getting poorly!

Food is such a struggle too, she has a limited diet.

Hair and tooth brushing is tricky.

She can’t bare the sound of my cough at the minute and attacks me with each one, verbally and/or physically.

I am so run down. Moan over!!! 😂

Oh poor you, you do sound fed up. Do you have anyone who can help with DD? How old is she?

Sensory processing difficulties?
Do you have access to Occupational Therapy?

It sounds like you need a break.

I have the same with coughing here and my nephew (also ASD) takes exception to me blowing my nose - it's bad enough being full of cold without being shouted at for exhibiting symptoms. Has she just finished or about to start half term?

Yes, we are so lucky with our support and have Occupational Therapy.

Yep, I’m not too well and we’ve just started Half Term.

My Husband is amazing, so I am lucky really. Just can’t help feeling a little worn out and low!
