I am desperately trying to get a referral to Prof. Helen Cox for my son, however although he is already under the GOSH umbrella for other services and awaiting planned surgery at GOSH, my Piadiatrician has refused to refer him to a new service as he is 17 years old. As a result my GP had to refer him to adult services, who diagnosed Nocturnal Tonic Seizures, based solely on symptoms. Whilst an MRI and EEG are planned, I was led to believe that it is unlikely to reveal anything. On speaking with Young Epilepsy, they advised that due to his age, developmental delay and SEN they would suggest he be referred to Prof Cross. I’m sure many of you already know that GOSH do not take private patients, but I wondered if anyone out there knows if Prof Cross works within Private Practice and if so where?
